Kim Dodson

KRD-blog-bio-resizedKim Dodson is Good Nature’s expert Adventure Specialist representing Natural Habitat Adventures.

Born and raised down South, Kim is a Georgia peach at heart. She then spent her high school and college years in the Midwest, near St. Louis, MO…truly her “Gateway to the West,” as she has now settled in the foothills of the breathtaking Rocky Mountains. Her first overseas experience, studying in France and Germany for a summer, inspired Kim to return to France for a full year abroad. Throughout the year, she ventured on exploratory backpacking trips all over Europe, which continued to feed her thirst for culture, architecture and language. A few years later, she spent a month with her sister in the arid, bush of South Africa and, yet again, was exposed to a new and fascinating way of life. Kim also discovered a new passion for wildlife during her first safari, instantly enamored with majestic animals living wild and free. Already feeling so blessed from her international experiences, Kim still craved more—seeking to combine work and travel. She soon found her dream job as a Travel Director with Intrav, leading groups of avid travelers on vacations around the world. Over two extraordinary years, Kim visited 40 countries across all seven continents (New Zealand, Croatia, the Galapagos & Antarctica mounting at the top of her list)!! Working in a living classroom throughout the world, Kim came to adore blue-footed boobies, aqua blue glaciers, wild orchids and chin-strap penguins. Now, that this jet-setter is a bit more grounded, there’s no better place to be than Natural Habitat Adventures in Boulder, Colorado.
