Outside Magazine Names NHA’s Base Camp Greenland “Best Splurge” in 2015 Travel Awards

We’re thrilled to announce that WWF & Natural Habitat’s Base Camp Greenland was recognized as the “Best Splurge” in Outside Magazine’s Best Of Travel 2015 Awards!

Outside April 2015 CoverAccording to Outside, the Best Splurge is to experience Greenland’s Arctic wilderness via an all-inclusive stay at our new Base Camp, a conservation-minded lodge in remote East Greenland.  This luxury camp is close to the edge of the Greenland Ice Sheet, where pods of whales feed in the bay in front of camp, and icebergs glisten in the late-night sun.  Beneath granite peaks that tower over deep fjords, this area has some of the best kayaking and hiking in the far North. The best part? At the end of each season, the camp is dismantled in order to minimize impact on the environment.

From the article:

Why pay top dollar to sleep in polar bear country in temperatures that barely hit the fifties in August? Because as Olaf Malver, the Danish camp founder who has spent 26 years exploring this coastline, says, “You will be dazzled by its dizzying beauty, strength, and simmering silence.”

We agree that Base Camp Greenland is well worth the splurge!  2016 spots are going fast – book by calling (800) 543-8917 to speak with one of our Adventure Specialists, or email info@nathab.com. Click the button below for full trip details.
