Climate change is a serious threat to the economic prosperity, national security, and public health and welfare of the United States and nations around the globe. That’s why more than 190 nations came together in 2015 to create the Paris Agreement, a historic pact to curb carbon pollution and avoid the worst impacts of climate change before it’s too late. The landmark agreement was not only a key movement that would accelerate the United States’ clean energy transition but also recognized that fighting climate change can bring significant economic and public health benefits to the nation.

On June 1, President Donald Trump announced his intent to withdraw the United States from the Paris Agreement on climate change. The Trump administration’s announcement undermines a key pillar in the fight against climate change and damages the world’s ability to avoid the most dangerous and costly effects of climate change.

In the midst of the recent decision, Natural Habitat Adventures and WWF are proud to say that “We Are Still In,” along with more than 1,000 U.S. governors, mayors, businesses, investors, colleges and universities, and will continue to remain a global leader in addressing climate change.

“Let’s face it. Climate change is happening and there’s no excuse, as business leaders, governments or human beings living on this blue marble, to turn our backs on the global effort to reduce carbon emissions. We’re all in this together,” said Ben Bressler, Founder & President of Natural Habitat Adventures. “The wildlife and natural environment our business is built upon is depending on us to do the right thing for the planet. We’re still in.”

“Although President Trump plans to exit the Paris agreement, Natural Habitat Adventures will continue its leadership to offset the carbon footprint of every trip and its office operations.  They are one of a handful of travel companies in the world to make this commitment and it is a big reason why Natural Habitat Adventures is WWF’s travel partner,” added Jim Sano, Vice-President of Travel, Tourism, and Conservation at WWF.

The people of the United States remain dedicated to creating a just, clean energy future. Now, we ask you to join us in our efforts to support climate action and together, we will protect the prosperity, security, health and welfare of our country and the planet.
