Marco Fallas was a tireless guide, lugging a spotting scope up and down mountain trails for hours each day. After a long day, he offered to take us into the jungle after dark, where we encountered an armadillo and followed tree frog calls, spotting several with gorgeous colors. Marco also showed us a mud bank with a motmot nest (a 2-foot-long tunnel), a tarantula lair and a crab nest. Unbelievable!”
